A man was shot Sunday morning in the South Side Armour Square neighborhood.

The 29-year-old man saw a person with a gun in the 3700 block of South Wells about 11:15 a.m. and tried to run away, police said.

He was shot twice in the left shoulder and taken in good condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.

The shooting happened about a block south of U.S. Cellular Field.
