This time of the year, it’s usually Soldier Field that gets all the complaints from Chicago fans for field conditions. However, Wrigley Field isn’t quite up to snuff right now for Joe Maddon.
When asked about the Cubs rough defensive play during Monday night’s win over the Brewers, Maddon blamed it on the field conditions after the AC/DC concert a week ago.

Maddon: Since the AC/DC concert, we’ve had a little bit of trouble. I don’t know if they were out there taking groundballs in 9-inch heels.

Maddon wasn’t the only one to have an issue with the field. Castro and other players reportedly think the field is below par as well.
Maddon said the infield is bad after AC/DC concert. Castro (and others) say it's the outfield grass that's bad.

The Cubs committed three errors Monday — a throwing error by Jason Hammel and fielding errors from Starlin Castro and Dexter Fowler.
Since starting their home stand, the Cubs have committed an error in each of their home games. All of which were fielding errors.
