On Tuesday, the attorney of Patrick Kane’s accuser called for a news conference on Wednesday. No one was quite sure of the reason or purpose.
Well, attorney Thomas J. Eaonnou didn’t take long to drop a bombshell, claiming the rape kit in the alleged sexual assault case had been tampered with and anonymously delivered to the front door of the accuser’s mother’s home.
Social media quickly blew up with reaction:
Speechless.

This development in the Patrick Kane rape case is horrific. And you wonder why victims sometimes choose the civil suit route instead.

Any rational business would indefinitely suspend Patrick Kane and cease any public association. Do better, @NHLBlackhawks

Here's the other disturbing factor -- why wasn't that rape kit somewhere secure being protected as evidence?? #patrickkane

Patrick Kane is at camp. He was cheered by the fans when he stepped on the ice. This is all sickening.

This is precisely why the #Blackhawks should've kept Patrick Kane away from the team until this is resolved. http://t.co/26VdkNUv4O
