Though many doubt his value to the team, Cubs short stop Starlin Castro has been the baseball equivalent to the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year since he was benched for Addison Russell.
Castro has 18 RBIs in mostly spot-duty during that span. In the last week alone, he’s hitting .538 with four runs batted in and a triple.
With the Cubs going to the postseason for the first time since 2008, spirits have to be high on what he has done for the team’s postseason push.
