The Illinois football team wasn’t slated as one of the more talented teams in the Big Ten coming into the season, but it is proving that effort can make up for talent in football.

In Saturday’s contest against Middle Tennessee, Illinois’ Caleb Day soared past the MT punt team to get a hand on a punt. It would be recovered in the end zone for a touchdown by teammate Clayton Fejedelem.

Despite a crazy start to season, in which former head coach Tim Beckman was released from the team, it appears the Illini football team is going to give its all against each opponent.
