Police are warning residents of a series of garage burglaries over the past month in the Irving Park neighborhood on the North Side.
The burglaries occurred at:
- between noon and 7:15 p.m. Sept. 11 in the 3400 block of North Ridgeway Avenue;
- between 7:45 p.m. and 7 a.m. Sept. 11-12 in the 3400 block of North Ridgeway Avenue;
- 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sept. 11-12 in the 3700 block of North Drake Avenue;
- 5:10 p.m. Sept. 25 in the 3700 block North Central Park Avenue.
In each incident, a burglar forcibly entered the garage and removed numerous tools, toolboxes, compressors and other property, police said.
In one incident, the suspect is described as a 25-to-30-year-old, 5-foot-9 Hispanic man with short black hair. He was seen driving a black Dodge Dart.

Prosecutors said they were working to coordinate Trump’s surrender, which could happen early next week. They did not say whether they intended to seek prison time in the event of a conviction, a development that wouldn’t prevent Trump from seeking and assuming the presidency.
The three stores robbed early Friday were hit minutes apart on the North and Northwest sides.
