Police are searching for a 61-year-old woman who went missing last week in northwest Indiana.

Carolyn Rimpson was last seen near 40th Avenue and Connecticut Street in Gary on Sept. 23, according to Gary police. She is “intellectually challenged” and suffers from hypertension.

Rimpson is described as a black woman between 5-foot-1 and 5-foot-3, about 120 pounds with long braided hair. She was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

“Carolyn is very friendly and could be easily taken advantage of,” police said.
