61-year-old woman missing for 5 days from Gary

Police are searching for a 61-year-old woman who went missing last week in northwest Indiana.

Carolyn Rimpson was last seen near 40^th Avenue and Connecticut Street in Gary on Sept. 23, according to Gary police. She is “intellectually challenged” and suffers from hypertension.

Rimpson is described as a black woman between 5-foot-1 and 5-foot-3, about 120 pounds with long braided hair. She was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

“Carolyn is very friendly and could be easily taken advantage of,” police said.
