18-year-old shot dead in East Garfield Park

A man was fatally shot Monday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The shooting happened in the 100 block of North Kedzie at 10:52 a.m., police said.

The 18-year-old victim, identified as Dwayne Frazier Jr., was shot multiple times in the chest and arm, and was driven to Mount Sinai Hospital, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Frazier, of the 2600 block of West Gladys, was pronounced dead at 11:17 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
