A man was shot in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side Tuesday night.

About 9:45 p.m., the 26-year-old was standing on the sidewalk in the 5100 block of South Homan when a male got out of a light-colored SUV and shot him in the leg, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
