A 16-year-old girl reported missing by her family in late August from northwest suburban Crystal Lake has been found in Oklahoma.

Kalyani Sudhir was found healthy and unharmed in Tulsa, Okla., according to Crystal Lake police. Authorities in Tulsa are working to reunite her with her family.

She left home Aug. 18, boarded a train in Crystal Lake a short time later, and was seen about 6 p.m. that day at Ogilvie Transportation Center, according to police.

She was found in the company of 31-year-old Mayank Nainwal, who was going by the name Nithin Nainwal, police said. He is currently in federal custody on unrelated charges.

The case remains under investigation and Nainwal may face additional charges, police said.
