A 15-year-old boy was shot in the shoulder Friday afternoon in Roseland on the Far South Side.

He was outside about 4 p.m. in the 10500 block of South Wentworth when someone rode up on a bicycle and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized, police said.

The shooter got off the bike and took off on foot, police said. No one is in custody.
