A 22-year-old man was shot in the leg Sunday afternoon in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened in the 4300 block of South Wabash about 12:40 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

He was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Details on the circumstances of the shooting were not available Sunday night.
