FBI offers $10K reward for man suspected of four bank robberies

The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of a man who has robbed at least four banks on the South Side and in the south suburbs since early December.

The most recent robbery happened at a Byline Bank branch at 4850 W. 87th St. in Burbank at 10:48 a.m. Saturday, according to the FBI. The suspect was last seen running northbound from the bank, and no injuries were reported.

In the most recent robbery, he was wearing a black, green and red Gucci skull cap, black jacket, black pants and black shoes.

A week earlier, the same suspect robbed another Byline Bank branch at 8601 S. Harlem Ave. in Bridgeview at 12:40 p.m. Jan. 2, according to the FBI.

More than two weeks earlier, on Dec. 14, he robbed at U.S. Bank branch at 11150 S. Western in Chicago, according to the FBI.

In that robbery, a man walked up to a teller at 10:30 a.m. and handed over a note demanding money, according to Chicago Police and the FBI. He ran southbound after the robbery and got into a black four-door car, police said.

His first suspected robbery happened at another U.S. Bank branch at 11159 S. Kedzie Ave. in Chicago on Dec. 5, according to the FBI.

The suspect is described as a black man between 35-40, 5-foot-8 to 6-foot-1 with a medium to large build, authorities said. He has been seen wearing a black Carhartt jacket, dark pants and a black knit cap. He has not shown a weapon.
