Once rising TV star Billy Bush will not be returning to the “Today” show and is in negotiations to leave NBC altogether, CNN is reporting.

Brian Stelter, the host of CNN’s Reliable Sources, said Tuesday afternoon it is a matter of when, not if, Bush will be leaving.

There is also an internal NBC review under way to determine why and for how long Bush sat on the damaging video tape that showed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump talking about women in a vulgar way that many viewed as describing sexual assault. The tape has become a key issue in the presidential campaign.

The New York Post reported that Bush allegedly bragged to colleagues about the tape while covering the Olympics in Rio over the summer.
