A man was shot in the South Deering neighborhood Sunday night on the Far South Side.

The 24-year-old was walking on the sidewalk at 6:22 p.m. in the 2400 block of East 102nd Street when a white vehicle drove by and someone inside it began shooting, according to Chicago Police. He was struck by a bullet in the left leg.

The man was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition was stabilized.
