Man shot in leg in Austin

A man was shot in the leg Wednesday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The 23-year-old was walking in the 5500 block of West Jackson about 12:40 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where he was listed in good condition, police said.
