Man found shot in head on Homan Square sidewalk

A man was found on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head Friday morning in the West Side Homan Square neighborhood.

It happened at 10:25 a.m. in the 3400 block of West Lexington, according to Chicago Police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

His identity and the circumstances of the shooting were unknown early Saturday, police said.
