Man shot during house party in Auburn Gresham

A man was shot Saturday night during a house party in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 24-year-old man was shot in the leg at 10:47 p.m. while sleeping on a couch during a house party in the 8400 block of South Parnell, according to Chicago Police. Someone with a handgun began to fire shots inside the house, but he was not the intended target.

The man walked to Jackson Park Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
