Three armed robberies reported in West Pullman

Police are warning Far South Side residents after three robberies were reported in the West Pullman neighborhood.

Two or three males approached a lone victim, brandished a revolver and demanded the person’s items before running away, according to the community alert from Area South detectives.

The robberies happened:

  • at 3 a.m. Sept. 20 in the 11700 block of South Halsted;
  • at 11:15 p.m. Sept. 22 in the 700 block of West 126th Street; and
  • at 10:15 p.m. Sept. 30 in the 12000 block of South Carpenter.

The suspects are described as two or three black males between 16 and 25 years old, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-9 and 150 to 165 pounds, police said. They have various short hairstyles and dreadlocks, and one has a tattoo on the right hand.
