Man seriously wounded in North Lawndale shooting

A man was seriously wounded in a shooting Thursday afternoon in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 18-year-old man was in the 1200 block of South Sawyer at 12:54 p.m. when two male suspects standing in an alley fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the back and was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.

The suspects ran south on Sawyer, police said.
