The Bears will reunite with Martellus Bennett and Shea McClellin before their second preseason game, as the team will practice Aug. 15 and 16 against the Patriots in Foxborough, Mass.

It marks the second-straight year the Bears held a joint practice before a preseason game; they travelled to Indianapolis last season before they faced the Colts. The Bears will play the Patriots at Gillette Stadium on Aug. 18.

Before then, the Bears will hold their free-to-the-public training camp at Olivet Nazerene University in Bourbonnais from July 28 to Aug. 9.

They’ll rotate start times, generally, between 9:35 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., have two off days and scrimmage Aug. 6 at Solider Field.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 5900 block of South Ashland Avenue when they were shot at, police said. Five men were later taken into custody, two of whom were wounded. No officers were hurt.
