A man robbed a bank at gunpoint Friday in southwest suburban Bolingbrook.

He walked into the FirstMerit Bank branch at 333 Quadrangle Drive in Bolingbrook, showed a gun and made off with an unspecified amount of cash, according to the FBI. Authorities didn’t say what time the robbery happened.

The robber was described as a Hispanic man in his 40s, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-9 and weighing about 175 pounds. He was wearing a gray U.S. Army hooded sweatshirt, dark glasses, jeans and dark shoes, authorities said.
