Police warn of North Side business burglaries

Police are cautioning businesses in the Wrigleyville, Boystown, Uptown and Lake View neighborhoods on the North Side after five burglaries were reported within a week.

According to an alert from Area North detectives, the burglaries occurred:

-between 10 p.m. April 26 and 3:25 a.m. April 27 in the 3400 block of North Clark;

-between 11 p.m. April 26 and 4:52 a.m. April 27 in the 3100 block of North Broadway;

-between midnight and 10:30 a.m. on April 28 in the 4400 block of North Broadway;

-between 6 p.m. April 29 and 3:15 a.m. April 30 in the 2800 block of North Clark;

-between noon May 3 and 3:35 a.m. May 4 in the 900 block of West Diversey.

In each burglary, suspects shattered the front glass door or window of the business to get inside, police said.
