A woman was shot early Thursday in the South Side Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

The 26-year-old woman was riding in a vehicle in the 3000 block of West 60th Street at 1:23 a.m. when someone in another vehicle shot her, according to Chicago Police.

She suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
