A man was shot early Sunday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The 21-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 4400 block of West Washington about 3:15 a.m. when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered gunshot wounds to the left thigh and groin and later showed up at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, police said. He was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
