16-year-old boy shot to death on West Side

A 16-year-old boy died after he was shot in the head Thursday night in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

Officers found Trevell Parker about 10 p.m. in the 4400 block of West Wilcox with gunshot wounds to the head and abdomen, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Parker, who lived in the 1800 block of South Kedzie, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:26 a.m. Friday, authorities said.
