A Byline Bank branch was robbed Tuesday afternoon in the Lake View neighborhood on the North Side.

About 2:35 p.m., the suspect walked into the branch at 742 W. Diversey Parkway and handed the teller a note, according to Chicago Police and the FBI. He then made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

He implied he had gun, but did not show one, police said. No one was injured in the robbery.

The robber is described as a black man, between 6 feet and 6-foot-2, with a slender-to-medium build, the FBI said. He was wearing a black White Sox hat, a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
