Watch Jeremy Roenick lunge at an alligator

Former NHL center Jeremy Roenick engaged in 40 fights during his more-than-20-year NHL career, but as far as we know, this is the first time he tried to fight an alligator.

Don’t try this at home, kids.

Roenick sure does know how to spice up a round of golf.

Luckily for the alligator, it got away before Roenick could get his hands on it.

The 45-year-old was selected by the Blackhawks in the first round of the 1988 draft. He played seven seasons in Chicago and also had stops in Phoenix, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Jose.

In 2007, Roenick became the third American-born player to score 500 NHL goals.
