Can last year’s champs repeat?

The Stevenson Patriots, last year’s state champions, will begin their playoffs against Conant. They managed to squeeze into this year’s playoffs with a record of 6-3. Last year, the Patriots ended with a perfect 14-0 record. Though, with a manageable 6-3 record going into the playoffs, repeating looks less certain for the Patriots. Losing key players defensively has had them scrambling around their roster and it has not been fair to them so far. This revamped Patriots will go up against a pesky Conant squad.

Conant will hope to better their chances from two years ago when the Cougars lost to a strong Glenbard West in the second round. Although Conant is coming off a two game losing streak, they are coming into the playoffs with a healthy 7-3 record.

This game will be nothing short of exciting as both teams vie for the second round playoff spot.

Both teams will look to give it their all as the 2nd round spot is at stake!

Key Players to watch:

STEVENSON: Jack Sorenson, Tyler Vincent, Charlie Bourbon

CONANT: Odell Andrews, Kyle Bradley, Nate Kawalek
