SHARE Fifth Third Bank branch in Waukegan robbed

Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a Fifth Third Bank branch Monday afternoon in north suburban Waukegan.

The suspect did not display a weapon during the 2:55 p.m. robbery at the branch at 800 S. Waukegan Rd., according to Waukegan police and the FBI.

He got away with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

He is described as a black man in his 40s, between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-5, and about 140 pounds, authorities said. He was wearing a black shirt and baseball cap.
