A 43-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday morning after crashing his vehicle into a northwest Indiana home.

Jeremy McWhirter was on a motorcycle that drove into a house in the 5200 block of Evelyn Street in Portage, Ind., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

McWhirter, of the 6100 block of Cleveland Street in Merrillville, Ind., was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he died at 10:35 a.m., authorities said. An autopsy on Sunday ruled his death an accident.
