Man, 22, shot in Washington Heights

A man was shot Sunday night in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the South Side.

A 22-year-old man was shot in the 9900 block of South Normal Avenue at 7:56 p.m., police said.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the left hand, and was taken to an Roseland Community Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The man is a known gang member, police said.
