A man was shot to death Saturday afternoon in northwest Indiana.

Ikeam Simmons, 20, of East Chicago, was shot about 3:30 p.m. near 150th Street and Alexander Avenue in East Chicago, according to East Chicago police the Lake County coroner’s office.

He was pronounced dead at 4:24 p.m. at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, the coroner’s office said.

Additional details on the shooting were not immediately available.
