It’s been an unexpectedly fun season for the Chicago Bears and their fans. Despite the lowest of expectations, the Bears have found a way to make it to 5-6 on the season with an undeniably softer schedule in their future.

Those expectations, however, are starting to change. For the first time all season, the Bears will be the favorites when they play the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday.

According to both the Westgate Superbook and the Wynn Las Vegas, the Bears have opened as seven-point favorites against San Francisco.

As long as the line holds, it will be far and away the most confidence the Las Vegas book makers have had in the Bears this season. Before this week, the closest the Bears have come to being the favorite was being a one and a half point underdog to Minnesota.

Most of the confidence comes from the much improved play from the Bears over the last four weeks. The 3-8 49ers are coming off of back-to-back losses to Arizona and Seattle.
