Man wounded in West Town shooting

A man was shot in the West Town neighborhood on the North Side Saturday night.

At 8:11 p.m., a 28-year-old man was riding a bicycle near the 1600 block of North Washtenaw Avenue when three people drove by in a small black station wagon, yelled gang slurs and fired shots at the man, police said.

The three offenders then drove west on North Avenue. One of the offenders was seen wearing a gray skullcap and a black sweater, police said.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the back, and was taken to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in good condition
