A 17-year-old boy from the south suburbs was fatally shot in Englewood Friday night.

Johnathan L. Stewart was shot in the chest and right leg about 10:15 p.m. in the 700 block of West 66th Place, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Stewart, of Country Club Hills, was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was pronounced dead 15 minutes later, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The shooting may have been a drive-by, police said.
