Man shot in foot in Avalon Park

A man was shot in the foot late Saturday in the South Side Avalon Park neighborhood.

About 10:10 p.m., the 18-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 8500 block of South Cregier when a Dodge Caravan pulled up and a male inside shot him in the foot, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Trinity Hospital in good condition, police said.
