A man robbed a TCF Bank branch inside a Jewel-Osco store Sunday afternoon in the Avondale neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

He brandished a handgun during the 12:46 p.m. hold-up at 3570 N. Elston Ave., according to the FBI.

The robber was described as a Hispanic man, about 40 years old and 5-foot-6 with a medium build, wearing sunglasses, a gray baseball cap and black shirt. He was last seen going south on Kedzie, authorities said.

Anyone with information should call the FBI at (312) 421-6700.

The same bank was robbed in January.
