A 15-year-old boy was shot Tuesday night in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

At 9:08 p.m., the teenager was standing on the sidewalk with a group of males in the 2600 block of North Lawndale when another male walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the neck and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the boy is a documented gang member.
