Man shot during attempted robbery in Washington Park

A man was shot during an attempted robbery early Thursday in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

Two people tried to rob the 31-year-old man about 1:35 a.m. in the 5600 block of South Michigan, according to Chicago Police.

One of the suspects pulled out a gun during the robbery, police said. The victim then grabbed the gun and was shot in the hand. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
