A 17-year-old boy was shot Saturday night in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The teen was walking in the street in the 5500 block of West Ohio about 8:20 p.m. when he was approached by three males, one of whom fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left leg and taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

A police source said the boy is a documented gang member.
