A woman was shot in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood late Tuesday on the South Side.

Just before midnight, the 25-year-old was sitting in the passenger seat of a car parked in the 8100 block of South Elizabeth when a silver SUV pulled up and someone inside it opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

She was shot in the hand and ankle and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
