Crystal Lake police investigating vehicle burglaries

Vehicle burglaries reported at a parking lot in northwest suburban Crystal Lake on Monday are being investigated by police.

Authorities were called at 9:04 a.m. about a male seen committing a vehicle burglary in a parking lot in the 700 block of Manor Road, according to a statement from Crystal Lake police. The male left the area with another male before police arrived.

Five vehicles were found with broken windows and personal property taken from inside, police said. Stolen items included purses and small amounts of cash.
