Police are warning Northwest Side residents about several garage burglaries this month in the Norwood Park neighborhood.
The suspect kicks or pries open the side door of a garage, or enters through an unlocked door, then takes construction tools, lawn equipment, air compressors, fishing equipment and cash, according to a community alert from Area North detectives.
The burglaries happened:
- between 10 p.m. Sept. 12 and 5:30 a.m. Sept. 13 in the 7700 block of West Olive;
- between 8:30 p.m. Sept. 12 and 8 a.m. Sept. 13 in the 5600 block of North Ozark;
- between 12:01 a.m. and 12 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 5600 block of North Ozark; and
- between 12:01 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Sept. 18 in the 7800 block of West Gregory.
