Armed man in Batman mask robs Glen Ellyn bank

An armed man in a Batman mask robbed a bank Thursday afternoon in west suburban Glen Ellyn.

The robbery happened at a Parkway Bank branch at 22w555 Butterfield Rd. in Glen Ellyn at 2:36 p.m., according to the FBI.

The suspect was described as a black man in his mid-20s to mid-30s, about 5-foot-10 with a large build, according to the FBI. He was wearing a navy checkered shirt, jeans, red baseball hat and Batman mask.

He was armed with a handgun, according to the FBI.
