Man, 54, shot to death in Austin

A 54-year-old man man was found shot to death Thursday night in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

Ahmad N. Morgan was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest around 9:20 p.m. in the 5600 block of West Chicago Avenue, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Morgan, of the 5900 block of West Superior, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:15 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.
