Man, 26, shot in ankle in East Chatham

A 26-year-old man was shot in the left ankle while riding a bicycle Tuesday night in East Chatham on the South Side.

He was riding in the 8000 block of South Ellis Avenue around 8:20 p.m. when someone fired at him, according to the police, who said he was taken for treatment to Jackson Park Hospital.
