A man was shot in the West Ridge neighborhood on the Northwest Side late Thursday.

The 24-year-old was walking in the 7000 block of North Sacramento about 11:32 p.m. when someone in a passing vehicle shot him in the left forearm, according to police.

He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where his condition stabilized, police said.
