$300K bond for man charged with Lake View burglary

Bond was set at $300,000 Wednesday for a 22-year-old man charged with breaking into a home Monday night in the Lake View neighborhood.

Kaabar Venson faces one felony count of residential burglary and one misdemeanor count of possession of cannabis, according to Chicago Police.

Venson took several items from inside a 56-year-old’s woman in the 1700 block of West Melrose about 10:40 p.m. Monday and was caught nearby, police allege.

Venson, of the 4900 block of South Racine, appeared in court Wednesday, where a judge set ordered him held on a $300,000 bond, according to Cook County Circuit Court records. His next court date is Monday.
