Man shot, seriously wounded in West Garfield Park

A man was seriously wounded in a shooting in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

The 28-year-old was sitting in a vehicle in the 700 block of South Kedvale about 3:45 p.m. when someone shot him in the neck, police said. The man drove himself to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
